Thanks for visiting my photography site!
I am a Michigan-native graphic designer, photographer and professor.
As a graphic designer, I am a Principal at RedPoint Design Direction in Midland where I have worked as art director, designer and photographer for numerous organizations from fortune 500 clients to small start-ups and non-profit organizations. I am also a Full Professor of Art and Design at Central Michigan University where I've taught photography and a wide range of design communication courses.
I've been fortunate to have had work published and shown in a variety of national and international books, magazines and exhibits. Work has also been honored and published by organizations including: Communication Arts, the American Institute of Graphic Design (AIGA), The American Advertising Federation where I've received multiple District and Regional Addys, The Webby Awards (Twice – including International non-profit website of the year), The Pixel Awards, The Creativity Awards, the American Graphic Design Awards, Logo Lounge and others. I also have had the privilege to serve as a juror for several regional and national design organizations.
My experience with the camera covers more than three decades — mostly with advertising photography, but also as a tool for fine art creation and more recently, landscape imagery, which is evident on this site. Archival landscape prints can be viewed and purchased at the gallery on Main Street in Frankfort, MI that I share with L’Chayim Delicatessen (L'Chayim Delicatessen and Photography).
